Terms of use.

1. Who provides the service

HumanMetrica is operated jointly by Daniel Porcelli, Nicolás Noblia and Rodrigo Cabot, based in Uruguay. You can contact us at nicolasnoblia@gmail.com.

2. Who it is for

The service is intended for licensed healthcare professionals and for trainees under supervision. By using it you confirm that you have the training required to interpret radiographic measurements and that you are authorised to access the images you open.

3. Not a medical device

HumanMetrica is not a medical device and provides no diagnostic advice.

It is a measurement tool: you place the points, and the application computes distances and angles from them. It does not detect findings, interpret studies, suggest diagnoses, or plan procedures.

The literature reference ranges shown beside some results are context, not a verdict. The application does not classify a value as normal or abnormal.

You are responsible for verifying the calibration and every measurement before acting on it. A value computed from badly placed points, or on a badly calibrated image, will be displayed with exactly the same apparent precision as a correct one. The clinical judgement is yours and cannot be delegated to the tool.

4. Your images and your patients

The radiographs you open are processed entirely on your computer and are never transferred to or stored on our servers. You therefore remain the controller of your patients’ data, both towards them and under applicable law, including obligations of confidentiality and professional secrecy.

The acknowledgement screen shown before the tool is a warning, not access control. It carries no password and protects nothing by itself. Protect the machine with disk encryption, a screen lock, and your institution’s access controls.

Reports you export omit the patient name, identifier, study date and source filename. Even so, the image they contain may identify a person through implants, anatomical markers, or text burned into the pixels. Treat an exported report as clinical material.

5. Your account

• The details you provide at registration must be true and kept up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.
• Accounts are personal. Do not share them.
• Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Acceptable use

In using HumanMetrica you agree not to:

• Open images you are not authorised to access.
• Use the service for unlawful purposes or in ways that infringe the rights of others.
• Attempt to breach, overload or interfere with the service or with other users’ accounts.
• Present the tool’s output as a diagnosis issued by it.

7. Beta and availability

HumanMetrica is in open beta. During this period it is free to use, with no card and no cap on measurements.

If we introduce a paid plan in future, we will give reasonable advance notice. We will not convert an existing account to paid access without telling you first.

The service is provided "as is". We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Intellectual property

The software, the HumanMetrica name and the site content belong to Daniel Porcelli, Nicolás Noblia and Rodrigo Cabot or their licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable licence to use the service under these terms. The measurements you take and the reports you export are yours.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service, nor for clinical decisions taken on the basis of unverified measurements.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

10. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with prior notice unless a security risk requires immediate action.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. If the change is material, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the current version.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Montevideo, without prejudice to any rights granted to the user by consumer protection legislation in their country of residence.
